「若為速成就佛道者，當於五色雲手。」
As explained in the text the practice of this mudra is designed to ensure the speedy attainment of Buddhahood.
成佛，久不久？
是漫漫三大阿憎祇劫，還是當下一念？
淨土，遠不遠？
是迢迢遠路，還是只隔一念心？
蓮華淨土很遠也很近，成佛很快也很慢
你，自己決定
Does it take long to achieve Buddhahood?
Is it a slow infinity of numerous trials and tribulations
Or instantaneous, just a momentary inspiration?
How far away is sukhavati, the land of Buddha?
Is it a journey to a faraway place
Or is it distanced by a mere thought?
The lotus sukhavati is both near and far;
Achieving Buddhahood is both quick and slow.
The decision is yours alone.

你知道嗎，其實天界神仙還在六道輪迴中，依然沒有從生死大海中解脫？知道這點，大概就不會再嚮往天界的神仙生活了。
那麼，該依止、該學習的對象，其實就很清楚了，那就是究竟解脫的佛。唯有究竟證悟，才能中止六道輪迴的循環，關閉紅塵生死的門，自己決定要往生淨土，或因為願力，決定再到人間走一回，幫助其他有情眾生解脫。
五色雲手是種祝福，祝福我們，源於千手千眼觀世音菩薩的加持和願力，若求生天道，亦能如願，但最好不是為享樂，而是為了利益天道眾生，也就是所謂的神仙，而求生天道。
五色雲手也是種提醒，天道畢竟不夠究竟，不值得嚮往，而且到那裡還可能耽於逸樂，失去修行的動力，反而離輪迴更近。何不老老實實就眼前的條件開始修行？有能力讓自己幸福，讓旁人快樂，當下就是天堂，何需遠求？
